Ride complete! We were tempted to give up several times, but very glad we persevered.
We learned some hard lessons – see the Portugal and Spain pages. Notably the EV1 Coastal Route is fiction, do not attempt to follow it without walking boots.

We originally said:
We plan to take two months to cycle from Faro to San Sebastián – and just beyond. Fly into Faro with our bikes (tomorrow) and assemble them there. Cycle to the hotel and we’re off for two months!
Cycle Friday to Monday, and stay in one spot for three days – there’s work to do.
Algarve coast, up to Lisbon, Porto, Santiago de Compostela, Spanish coast, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Bayonne. Train Paris, Eurostar London, Train to UK base.
